The LSHSA is dedicated to supporting the students and families who receive special education services.

 

This support comes through: 
 

• Grants, typically identified by Ridgewood’s Special Education Staff, to enrich learning experiences (e.g., contributions to a Sensory Path at Orchard Elementary and a Life Skills Room at Ben Franklin MS, numerous community outings, etc.);

 

• Scholarships (funded through separate periodic fundraising drives); and

​

• Events to support and educate families (parent socials, special needs activities fair, school step-up transition meetings, etc.).

 

LSHSA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and is made up of parent volunteers that relies on the contributions from our community to continue to fund the programs to support, educate and enrich.  All donations are appreciated.
